Beitar Ma'ale Adumim's Boys B side has won its way back into national youth football, sealing the Judean Shfela regional championship and, with it, promotion to Israel's new national U-17 league, ONE reports.
The margin was comfortable rather than dramatic: Ma'ale Adumim finished four points clear of Maccabi Gan Yavne, who took second, with Maccabi Ironi Ashdod completing the podium in third.
The team topped the table across two full rounds of fixtures, going 10-2-0 in the first and following up with a 9-0-3 record in the second — form good enough to hold off the chasing pack for the duration of the campaign.
The numbers behind the title tell their own story. Ma'ale Adumim scored 88 league goals, the second-highest tally in the division, while conceding only 17 — comfortably the meanest defence anyone in the Shfela group could field this season.
Much of the attacking output ran through captain Harel Abergil, who finished as the league's outright top scorer with 23 goals. At the back, goalkeeper Ido Ofer was central to a defensive record few sides came close to matching.
Coach Shai Cohen, a familiar figure in Jerusalem-area youth football after previous spells in charge of Beitar and Hapoel Jerusalem's junior sides, guided the promotion push. "We're happy with the achievement, but we hoped to do this more convincingly," Cohen said, according to ONE, crediting fitness coach Yaki Yuniov's conditioning work for the squad's stamina through a long season.
The promotion carries extra weight locally: it marks Ma'ale Adumim's first return to national-level youth competition since the 2021-22 season, giving the club's development pathway a tangible marker of progress heading into 2026-27.
