Bnei Yehuda used the countdown to the new Liga Leumit season to put a health message front and centre, unveiling a pink goalkeeper shirt for the 2026/27 campaign on Monday evening dedicated to raising awareness of cancer and the importance of early detection.
The Tel Aviv club, which plays in Israel's second tier this season, presented the jersey as what it called its "blessed initiative" ahead of the league's opening rounds, according to ONE.
"Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv Football Club is proud and excited to unveil the pink goalkeeper shirt for the 2026/27 season, and dedicates it to raising awareness of the fight against cancer and the importance of early detection," the club said in a statement carried by the outlet.
The statement continued with a direct appeal to supporters: "Behind this shirt stands one simple and important message that we want to convey to every woman: go get tested. Early detection can save lives."
"We are proud to use our platform to raise awareness, to remind and to encourage timely testing," the club added. "This time, pink is much more than a colour."
No individual goalkeeper was named in connection with the shirt, and the club did not identify a partner health organisation in the statement reported by ONE. The jersey is intended for the full 2026/27 season rather than a single fixture.
