Hapoel Jerusalem have added another body to their rebuilt frontcourt, agreeing a one-year contract with a club option for a second season with Serbian center Dušan Miletić, ONE reported.
Miletić, 28 and 2.14 meters tall, arrives in Jerusalem on the back of arguably the best season of his career. Playing for Romanian club U-BT Cluj-Napoca in 2025/26, he helped the side win the domestic championship and reach the Eurocup quarterfinals, a run that put him firmly on the radar of clubs across Europe.
His numbers back up the profile Hapoel were chasing. Across Eurocup play this past season, Miletić averaged 12.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game, Ynet reported, figures that speak to a mobile, well-rounded big man rather than a purely paint-bound center.
The move to Israel did not come directly from Romania. Miletić spent roughly a month with Lebanese club Al Riyadi Beirut after leaving Cluj-Napoca, before talks with Hapoel Jerusalem advanced and led to this week's signing, according to ONE.
He joins a Jerusalem side being reshaped by new head coach Saša Obradović, the veteran Serbian trainer who took over the bench in June after leaving Red Star Belgrade, replacing Yonatan Alon. "We are happy to add Dušan to Hapoel's family," Obradović said, according to ONE. "He is an experienced player with high basketball intelligence and a competitive approach. Beyond his presence in the paint, he is an excellent rebounder, very versatile, and brings toughness, physicality and outside shooting."
Miletić struck a similar note. "I am very happy to join Hapoel Jerusalem," he said. "I have played against Hapoel before, so I know what a great club this is. I am excited to wear the red jersey and fight for the team."
The signing continues a busy off-season in the capital, where Jerusalem have also brought in NBA guard Shake Milton, per ONE, as Obradović assembles a squad meant to compete on multiple fronts domestically and in the Eurocup.
Financial terms of the Miletić deal were not disclosed.
