Hapoel Emek have added a young guard to Sharon Avrahami's roster, confirming the signing of 21-year-old Ran Solomon ahead of the new Winner League season, ONE reports.
Solomon, who stands 1.85m, is a product of the Hapoel Holon youth system and spent time with the Holon senior squad before dropping down a level last season to Hapoel Chevel Modiin in Liga Artzit. His move to Hapoel Emek now brings him back into Israel's top flight.
"It is a great honour to join such a big team as Hapoel Emek," Solomon said following the signing. "I look forward to meeting the fans and hope to help the team achieve its goals."
Avrahami, who has overseen a productive rebuild in the Jezreel Valley, welcomed the addition in similarly warm terms. "I am very happy Ran is joining us," the coach said. "Ran is a young and talented player with a fighter's mentality, and I am confident he will integrate excellently with us."
The signing continues a busy close season for Hapoel Emek, who reached the Winner League playoff quarter-finals last term and have also recently brought in guard-forward C.J. Alby as they look to build on that run.
For Solomon, the move represents a chance to re-establish himself at the top level after a formative season in the third tier, arriving at a club that has shown it is prepared to trust younger players inside a squad built around Avrahami's system.
