German, 28, is a 1.83m combo guard who is fresh off his most recent stop in Puerto Rico with Indios de Mayagüez, where he averaged 17.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists across eight league games, per ONE's figures.
The American arrives with an itinerant pro resume built almost entirely overseas. After going undrafted out of Northern Illinois University in the 2020 NBA Draft, he has played across Greece, Turkey, China and now the Caribbean, with his Turkish spell producing averages around 18 points a game.
At Northern Illinois, German left as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,203 points, one of the more prolific runs in Mid-American Conference history, before turning pro without an NBA path opening up for him.
Independently, Sport5 has also reported Hapoel in advanced negotiations for a guard, naming German alongside Jamir Young as the two leading candidates, with the club running parallel talks and looking to close with one of them.
The vacancy has opened up after Johnathan Motley, last season's EuroCup Finals MVP, completed his move away from Hapoel to Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade), leaving a sizeable gap in a backcourt and frontcourt mix that helped deliver the title.
Hapoel have already moved on the perimeter this summer, confirming a one-year deal for Czech guard Tomas Satoransky following his release from Barcelona after a career that also included six NBA seasons.
