An all-Israeli officiating team has been handed a UEFA appointment for Thursday's Conference League qualifier between FCSB and Latvia's FK Auda, with David Foksman named as referee.
The first leg of the second qualifying-round tie kicks off at 20:45 at FCSB's Ghencea stadium in Bucharest, with the winner advancing to the third qualifying round.
According to a report by the Israeli sports site One, Foksman will be assisted by Mati Yaakov and Idan Tsoler, with Aviv Klein serving as the fourth official.
The appointment continues a run of UEFA assignments for Foksman in European club competition, part of a broader trend of Israeli referees being entrusted with continental fixtures in recent seasons.
FCSB, the modern successor to the storied Steaua Bucharest name, enter the qualifying rounds as one of Romania's most decorated clubs and will be favourites against a Latvian side making just its second European campaign in this format.
Auda rearranged a domestic league fixture against FK Liepaja to clear space for the European assignment, a sign of how seriously the Latvian outfit are taking the visit to Bucharest.
