Hapoel Tel Aviv are through to the next round of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers after a 2–2 draw away to Ludogorets in Razgrad on Thursday sealed a 4–2 aggregate win.
Emmanuel Boateng was the difference. The forward opened the scoring on 16 minutes to extend Hapoel's cushion, and after Ludogorets hit back through Bernard Tekpetey (47') and Alberto Salido (54') to briefly threaten the tie, Boateng restored the away side's grip with his second on 58 minutes.
The 2–2 on the night was more than enough on aggregate. Hapoel had taken a 2–0 lead to Bulgaria from the first leg in Tel Aviv, and Boateng's brace ensured the Bulgarian champions never got close to overturning it.
The evening was briefly halted when flares were thrown from the Hapoel section — a recurring issue the club has been warned about — but the match resumed and was completed in full.
Hapoel Tel Aviv join the growing list of Israeli clubs advancing in Europe this week and now wait to learn their next opponent in the qualifying path.
