Maccabi Haifa have completed the permanent sale of Show to Kocaelispor, the departure officially announced on Saturday evening and bringing a quietly unsuccessful chapter on the Carmel to a tidy conclusion. The Turkish top-flight club, where the Angolan midfielder spent last season on loan, will pay 500,000 euros for a player who made just 21 league appearances in green.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder — Manuel Luís da Silva Cafumana, known throughout his career simply as Show — is set to sign a three-year contract worth a reported 500,000 euros per season. The fee itself will be paid in instalments, though accounts of the schedule differ: reporting in Israel describes payments spread across two years, while Turkish coverage of the deal refers to three instalments instead.
Kocaelispor's loan arrangement included a purchase option, and the club has now moved to exercise it. Show is expected to join pre-season training at Topuk Yaylası once the final formalities are completed.
Show arrived in Haifa in August 2023 from Ludogorets Razgrad with a pedigree that promised more than he ultimately delivered. A product of Primeiro de Agosto in Luanda, he had earned a move to Lille as a 20-year-old in 2019, gathered experience on loan at B-SAD and Boavista in Portugal, and then established himself over two seasons in Bulgaria.
At Maccabi Haifa, though, he never commanded a regular place. He finished his single active season with 32 appearances in all competitions and a reputation as one of the squad's more expensive misfits.
What followed was a loan odyssey. Haifa first sent him to FC Dallas, where he made 13 appearances in Major League Soccer, before Kocaelispor took him for the 2025-26 campaign.
There, finally, the fit worked. Show made 30 appearances for the side from İzmit, and Turkish reports describe him as one of the players head coach Selçuk İnan trusted most, as well as a favourite with the club's supporters — the kind of season that made a permanent deal feel inevitable.
For Maccabi Haifa, the sale is best read as housekeeping with a modest return. Show's contract ran until 2027 and his market valuation stood at roughly 1.5 million euros this spring, so the fee falls short of what the club once hoped the midfielder might be worth.
Still, it removes a substantial foreign-player salary from the books, frees a slot in the squad, and converts an asset who was never going to play for the club again into cash.
For the player, the move offers stability in a league where he has already proved himself. Show remains a regular for Angola, with more than 50 senior caps and an appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations, and a settled club home in the Turkish top flight gives him a platform to protect that international standing into his late twenties.
