Sa'ar Fadida is closing in on a return to Ligat Ha'al service with Ironi Tiberias, with Sport5 reporting the 29-year-old attacking midfielder is deep into negotiations over a move to the Sea of Galilee club.
According to the report, most of the substantive terms have already been agreed between Fadida's camp and Tiberias, with only a handful of final clauses left to settle before any deal is signed off.
Fadida would arrive as a free agent after his contract with Hapoel Haifa lapsed this summer. He had joined Haifa in February, arriving mid-season from Maccabi Bnei Reineh, and made just nine appearances for the club, scoring twice — once in the league and once in the State Cup.
Sport5 reports that Fadida drew interest from several other clubs after becoming a free agent, a reflection of the market for an attacking midfielder comfortable playing through the middle or off either flank.
A move to Tiberias would be another stop in a career that has taken him around Israel and briefly abroad. Spells with Hapoel Hadera and a season with Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia preceded a productive two-year stint with Maccabi Bnei Reineh, where he scored eight goals in 62 appearances before his short return to Haifa this year.
For Ironi Tiberias, landing Fadida would add attacking depth to a squad preparing for a second successive season in Ligat Ha'al, the club's first sustained run in the top flight in years.
Nothing has been signed yet, and Sport5's report stops short of confirming a completed transfer. For now Fadida remains a free agent, with his next club expected to be settled in the coming days.
