Bayern Munich have had enough of being asked about Michael Olise's future. Honorary president Uli Hoeneß used a trademark piece of theatre to shut the door on renewed Real Madrid speculation, ONE reports, delivering a line that has now travelled well beyond Munich.
"Even if the emperor of China came, we wouldn't even discuss Olise with him," Hoeneß said, according to the report — a way of stressing that no visitor, however grand or well-funded, is going to talk Bayern into a sale.
The comment was aimed squarely at Real Madrid, who have been strongly linked with a move for the French winger this summer. Spanish and German outlets have reported Los Blancos could be prepared to go as high as roughly €200 million for the 24-year-old, a figure that would rank among the most expensive transfers in the sport's history.
Olise arrived at Bayern from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 and quickly became one of Bundesliga's most watchable attackers, signing a long-term contract that runs to 2029. He has since made himself close to undroppable under the club's coaching staff.
Hoeneß went further than simply denying contact with Madrid, framing Olise as part of an attacking unit the club regards as untouchable. "We have the best attacking trio in the world: Olise, Luis Díaz and Harry Kane," he said. "We're not thinking about selling any of them."
The rumours have gathered pace partly because of Olise's form for France at the 2026 World Cup, where he was among the tournament's leading providers with five assists — the kind of showing that tends to sharpen interest from Europe's biggest clubs.
For now, though, Bayern's message is blunt and, in Hoeneß's telling, faintly amused: the speculation can run as long as it likes, but nobody at Säbener Straße is picking up the phone.
