Ironi Lati Kiryat Ata have added an American forward with a proven college scoring record to their roster, signing David Green ahead of the new Israeli Premier League season, ONE reports.
Green, 24, stands 2.01m (6-foot-7) and plays power forward. Kiryat Ata's coaching staff see him as a genuine multi-tool piece — someone who can put the ball on the floor, attack the rim, shoot it from range and still do damage with his back to the basket.
He arrives having just wrapped up a standout year at the University of Tulsa, where he averaged 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists a game. The production earned him a spot on the American Athletic Conference's First Team and All-Rookie Team, along with all-tournament honours at the NIT.
Before Tulsa, Green spent two seasons at the University of Rhode Island, where he was already established as one of the Rams' go-to scorers — 14.2 points and 5.9 rebounds a game in 2024/25, after leading the team with 14.3 points and 4.2 rebounds the year before. Independent US college basketball records also list stops at Louisiana Tech and Hofstra earlier in his career.
"He's a highly versatile power forward with a wide skill set — a player who can handle the ball, attack the rim, shoot from outside, play post-up and score in multiple ways," Kiryat Ata coach Eldad Bentov said of the new signing, according to ONE, adding that Green's competitive streak should translate well to the physicality of Israeli basketball.
Bentov himself is entering his fourth straight season in charge at Kiryat Ata, having risen through the club as an assistant before taking over as head coach. Under him the club has reached the Israeli top flight and gone as far as the playoff and State Cup semi-finals in recent campaigns.
No contract length was disclosed in the report. Green's arrival gives Kiryat Ata another experienced American frontcourt option as they look to build a squad capable of competing again near the top of the table in 2026/27.
