Agent Jonathan Kebe's visit was one of several such meetings Deco has been holding with players' representatives this summer, according to the report, but Koundé's situation carries particular weight: he signed a contract extension through 2030 barely a year ago, yet finds himself increasingly peripheral to Hansi Flick's plans.
Flick left Koundé out of Barcelona's title-clinching win over Real Madrid last season and has continued to manage his involvement carefully, with fitness issues compounding a drop-off in form after a standout first campaign under the German coach.
Barcelona's financial position is central to the calculation.
