The Israeli outlet says the club and its 28-year-old forward remain in active negotiations over a new contract, with the main sticking point now simply how long the extension should run — either to 2029 or to 2030.
Dembélé's current deal, signed in 2023, runs to 2028, and French outlets covering the talks have similarly described the discussion as centring on a one- or two-year extension, lending weight to ONE's account.
The speculation around his standing at the Parc des Champs took hold after Dembélé was left out of PSG's squads for the European Super Cup and the Trophée des Champions, an exclusion ONE says caught the forward by surprise.
Concern deepened when he was substituted early in PSG's Ligue 1 opener against Rennes, a night on which coach Luis Enrique was also reported to have aired frustration with his forward line's application.
ONE reports that club management and Luis Enrique sat down with Dembélé early in the week to address the situation directly, and came away describing the relationship in far calmer terms than the surrounding noise suggested.
The two men are said to "respect and appreciate each other," according to the report, with PSG stressing that Dembélé remains a central figure for the club both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
Other French reporting on the episode has struck a similar note, suggesting the rest period was actually proposed by Luis Enrique himself and accepted willingly by the player rather than imposed as any kind of punishment.
Dembélé was given several days off with the club's approval and is expected to be back in training on Monday, ONE adds, as PSG look to move past a story that briefly threatened to overshadow the start of their title defence.
The forward arrives at this juncture off the back of a career-defining year, having won the 2025 Ballon d'Or after inspiring PSG to the Champions League, Ligue 1 and Coupe de France treble, with 35 goals and 14 assists in 53 appearances.
