According to the report, the ceremony is planned for the cathedral in Funchal, Madeira, with the reception to follow at the nearby Savoy Palace, a luxury hotel on the island. The Sun reported that hotel guests were told two floors and the bar areas would be closed off on Friday and Saturday, fuelling speculation that the closures are tied to the wedding.
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, have been together since 2016 and have built a blended family that includes children from a previous surrogacy arrangement as well as two daughters of their own. The couple got engaged last August, and Ronaldo has spoken publicly in the months since about wanting to settle down with her.

A separate rumour that swept Portuguese media this week — claiming the pair would marry on August 1st at the Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra, based on what was said to be a leaked invitation — was knocked down by the celebrity magazine ¡HOLA!, which found the venue was open to tourists and hosting an evening show on the supposed wedding date.
That debunked claim referred to a different venue entirely from the Funchal plan cited by ONE and The Sun, but it underlines how much speculation is swirling around the couple as Ronaldo's summer break winds down and his return to pre-season training with Al-Nassr approaches.
