Lazio are reportedly preparing to submit a formal offer for Stav Lemkin, with Sport5 reporting on Friday that the Rome club see the Israeli center-back as an option to strengthen their defence this summer.
Lemkin, 23, made his move to FC Twente permanent last summer, with the Dutch club paying Shakhtar Donetsk roughly €1.5 million for his signature after he had spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he first came through the youth ranks.
The defender went on to establish himself at Twente, making 29 appearances across the Eredivisie and Dutch Cup last season. He is under contract in Enschede through 2028 and is valued at around €6 million by Transfermarkt.
According to Sport5, Lemkin also holds Spanish citizenship, a detail that would ease any move to Serie A by sparing him a non-EU work-permit slot at Lazio.
Italian outlets have separately linked Lazio with Lemkin as a defensive option, though reporting from Lazionews.eu and TuttoMercatoWeb frames the interest as contingent on the club's ongoing negotiations to sell Alessio Romagnoli to Al Sadd — Lemkin would likely arrive only if that departure goes through.
Should the move materialise, Lemkin would become the third Israeli playing in Serie A this season, joining midfielder Omri Gandelman at Lecce and winger Manor Solomon, who has been on loan at Fiorentina.
Lemkin has represented Israel at senior level after coming through the country's youth national teams, and a switch to one of Italy's traditional clubs would mark a significant step up for the young defender.
Nothing is yet official on either side, and Twente have given no indication of willingness to sell a player who was a first-team regular for them last season.
