Two Liga Leumit clubs used the close season to freshen up their squads, with Hapoel Kfar Saba and Hapoel Afula both completing signings this week, ONE reports.
Kfar Saba have brought in Yoav Solel, a 19-year-old striker, on a three-year contract after his release from Hapoel Petah Tikva. According to ONE, Solel scored nine league goals last season and hit 13 in a youth league campaign two years earlier, numbers that made him a target for a Kfar Saba side looking to add firepower up front. He is represented by agent Assaf Schwartz.
Kfar Saba finished seventh in Liga Leumit in the 2025/26 season, with 13 wins, eight draws and 12 defeats and a goal difference of 48 for and 44 against, a mid-table campaign that leaves the club looking to push higher with fresh attacking options.
In Afula, the club has added a defender named Yifrach, arriving from Hapoel Beit Shean of the third-tier Liga Alef North, ONE reports. The 20-year-old, who grew up in Kiryat Shmona, is represented by Fisher Sports alongside agents Roey Simoni and Satya Chachmon, and the move represents a step up two divisions for a player Afula hope can shore up their back line.
The signing carries an extra layer of interest given the family name: Yifrach is the brother of striker Nehorai Yifrach, who came up through Maccabi Haifa's youth ranks before joining Hapoel Afula on loan last season. According to Walla Sport, Nehorai made 23 league appearances for Afula, scoring twice and adding two assists, before a broken fibula sustained in training cut his campaign short with the club's medical staff estimating a two-to-three month recovery.
Neither club has published financial details of either deal, and ONE's report did not include quotes from either signing or from club officials.
Both moves are part of the broader housekeeping Liga Leumit sides are working through before pre-season proper gets under way, as clubs firm up their rosters for the campaign ahead.
