The winger's arrival closed a seven-year spell in Haifa, where he wore the captain's armband, won three consecutive championships and played Champions League football — spells that made him one of the most recognisable names to move this summer. Walla Sport and Sport5 reported that Haziza signed a two-year contract with Netanya, with Maccabi Haifa paying him compensation after the club's new sporting director, Lior Refaelov, told him in pre-season talks that he was not part of the first-team plans for 2026/27.
Sitting across the pitch will be a very different kind of newcomer. Hapoel Ramat Gan, freshly promoted to the top flight, have handed a start to Ido Oli, a 20-year-old central midfielder who joined on a season-long loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer, according to local outlet BE106.
Oli, a product of Maccabi Tel Aviv's academy who has represented Israel at youth level including the under-21s, spent last season out on loan in the National League with Hapoel Kfar Shalem. Ramat Gan also brought in fellow Maccabi Tel Aviv loanee Daniel Tichler as part of the same close-season swoop.
The visit to Netanya comes in Group B of the Toto Cup, where Levi's side head into round three unbeaten, having built a perfect record of six points from two matches. A win would extend that run and keep Netanya on course to top the section heading into the knockout rounds.
Ramat Gan, for their part, arrive as one of the competition's surprise packages, having already picked up notable results since returning to the top division after their promotion.
