Hapoel Umm al-Fahm have brought back a familiar face for their 2026/27 Liga Alef North campaign, with ONE reporting that midfielder Tambi Segas has signed for the club for a second time.
The 32-year-old joins a squad being rebuilt under coach Tomer Kashtan, who previously worked with Segas during a spell at Kafr Qasim. No contract length or financial terms were disclosed in the report.
Segas, who is from the Circassian community of Kafr Kama in the Lower Galilee, came up through Bnei Sakhnin's youth academy and went on to make his name as one of the club's breakout talents, spending four and a half seasons in the first team.
His move from Sakhnin took him to Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, who were State Cup holders at the time. Across two and a half seasons in the Hatikva Quarter, Segas scored in a Europa League qualifier against Neftçi Baku, before being relegated with Bnei Yehuda to the National League in 2020/21.
The years since have taken him around the Israeli game: a stint at Kafr Qasim under Kashtan, an earlier spell at Umm al-Fahm in 2023/24 in which he scored four goals, a season at Maccabi Herzliya, and most recently Hapoel Hadera, who were relegated to Liga Alef during his time there.
Segas also represented Israel's youth national team, earning five caps earlier in his career.
Umm al-Fahm themselves survived a difficult recent period after the Israel Football Association froze relegations during the season disrupted by the Iron Swords war, and the club is now building toward next season with Kashtan in charge and several familiar names, Segas among them, returning to the fold.
