Harel Nahshon, a 16-year-old winger from Dimona, has signed a two-year deal with M.S. Ashdod, joining the club's youth academy after a breakout campaign in Hapoel Petach Tikva's underage ranks, ONE reports.
The teenager slots into Ashdod's U-17 squad, coached by Amir Shweiki, which sits at 1-1 in the top tier of the national youth league and is next due to face Maccabi Netanya.
Nahshon made his name last season with Hapoel Petach Tikva's U-16 team, contributing 10 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions, 21 of them starts — six of the goals came in league play, four in cup football.
His path through the Israeli youth system has taken in several clubs. He began at hometown side M.S. Dimona before moving to Maccabi Petach Tikva's U-11 north team, then spent time with Hapoel Be'er Sheva's U-13 side before settling at Hapoel Petach Tikva, where he was among the more prolific scorers at underage level — including a run of 20 goals across half a season at an earlier age group.
Ashdod's willingness to commit to a two-year academy contract points to genuine long-term interest in a player still four years shy of senior football, though it is worth stressing this is a youth-team move rather than a first-team transfer.
