Willy Agada wants to go back to Haifa. ONE reports that the Nigerian striker is pushing for a second spell at Hapoel Haifa and is currently waiting on the club to come back to him with acceptable contract terms, even as a rival Israeli suitor circles with a richer offer.

That rival is Bnei Sakhnin, who according to the report are currently putting more money on the table than Hapoel Haifa for the 26-year-old forward. Agada, for his part, is said to be holding out for Haifa's answer rather than jumping straight to the higher bidder — a sign of how fondly he remembers his first stint at Sammy Ofer Stadium.

That fondness is easy to explain. Agada arrived at Hapoel Haifa on loan for the 2020/21 season and finished as the club's second-highest scorer with six league goals, including two crucial strikes in the relegation round that helped steer the team clear of the drop. Across his time there he scored eight goals in 30 appearances.

His career kept climbing after Haifa. He moved on to Hapoel Jerusalem, then crossed the Atlantic for Major League Soccer, scoring 27 goals in 103 appearances for Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake. In January this year he returned to Europe on a free transfer to Real Zaragoza in Spain's second tier — a move that now appears to have run its course, with the striker back on the market and Israel back on his radar.

Hapoel Haifa's transfer business isn't limited to Agada's saga. Dutch winger Jayden Braaf, who has come through Manchester City's academy system and had spells at Borussia Dortmund, Udinese and Fortuna Sittard, has arrived in Israel and started training with the club on trial.

Manager Haim Silbes is said to be treating the Braaf audition with caution, weighing the 23-year-old's undoubted talent against a history of injuries and past disciplinary issues before deciding whether to hand him a contract.

Off the pitch, Hapoel Haifa used the moment to present their home jersey for the 2026/27 season: a red-and-black design with stripes across the shirt, fronted by a graphic rendering of the letter "H" for Hapoel Haifa.

The kit reveal lands with the club in good form. Hapoel Haifa beat local rivals Maccabi Haifa 3-2 in their Toto Cup derby and sit well placed in their group as they push for a place in the competition's semi-finals.

For now, though, the headline business remains unresolved: whether Hapoel Haifa move quickly enough to beat Sakhnin's offer and bring their old No.9 home.
